The Hike

the final free fall
so this water looks alright and was okay until just where john is hitting and this point it was so frigid that audible screams were heard from most of the group, the three of us who went first sat on the rock just waiting to see the face of the others who had to come through

attractive out fits

amazing view

pools of water, compete with frogs

once again..nice views

our friend alison and harold who helped with all the semantics (and video taped the whole ordeal)

In May John and I were lucky enough to go on a hike in Zion's called Pine Creek, our wonderful friend Alison invited us to go with her family, and even had her father and step-mother watch the girls, not to mention let us stay with her inlaws. It was really a highlight of our year, and we owe so much thanks to all who made it possible. I would like to mention i was about three months pregnant, but I honestly don't think i would ever look that great in a skin tight full body wet suit, it was like you were suction cupped right in. Anywho the hike was amazing. You start by repelling down a series of cliffs or canyons, some filled with water, and then end off by doing some boldering and maybe a little swimming ghtrough a beautiful pond filled area----awesome.

Finally some new picture

we just hope this pull-up was found before its use.....who knows This sisters really do love each other, and with Mary's new fascination with wiggly movie kisses it often looks a little interesting

If it looked good on Evyn, it will look awesome on me!
And she was right, not everyone can pull off a princess pull-up.

The Mother Land

Waiting outside the London Temple to see Auntie Liz and Martin after they were sealed.
Asher, Mary, John, Elliot, Evyn and Spencer (the picture above also show rebecca, Matthew and ellis).

In February John's sister Liz got married, yeah!! So we packed up the troops and took a not as bad as i thought it would be 10 hour flight to London. We were so blessed we landed on the one clear morning and went right to the Fu's home (John's sister). The next morning was a snow day from school and the day after that was so bad that even the dad had to stay home from work. Bad for business, but great for us, we got to see our wonderful family for two whole days and i think Mary fell in love with " the big boy" as she called her cousin Asher, who would read to her carry her around, let her listen to his ipod, etc. Not to mention that Mary woke up at 1 am one morning and went into her cousin Rebecca's room. Rebecca didn't send her back to bed, but read her some Dora books, turned ona movie and would just play with her whenever she wanted.....the girls were in heaven, and this was only day 2.
Next we went to mom and dad's in Leicester, and finally got to meet the fiance Martin---we love you Martin. This is when Mary and Evyn got to know there other cousing spencer and elliot, lets just say that by the last day of the trip Evyn was giggling at everything SPencer said and coming and giving him big long hugs. We had a wonderful time with mom and dad. Dad even took care of Evyn all by himself and she was as happy as a little clam.
After a day or so we were able to go up north to my mission area and see john's two other sisters louise and jane. It was wonderful apart from Evyn having her one bad night and even keeping her cousin sara home from school the next day, but i guess one night isn't bad when traveling around the world.
On our final day Sue and all the cousins watched Mary & Evyn (ball parks, trampolines you name it), and john and I went to London to see our wonderful friend Lee, though honestly he is our family. We love him and have missed him so much. It was heaven to wander around and just all be together again, not to mention checking out the Cyberdog store...you don't know why but it just makes you happy!!
Well Auntie Sue has alot more pictures so hopefully those will come soon. We love you family and we were so grateful we were able to go.

D.C. Part II

John and I celebrated our 6th wedding in anniversary while in D.C. at a little french place, john's titanium ring still in excellent condition. Grandpa Rowberry took the girls to go see horses and play, so everyone loved it.

More fun with cousins!

Still not sure if Evyn caught anything?

It was so nice to be in a walking city again, we loved walking out of Ryan and Barbs house and just walking everywhere we needed to go, no stripping off the coats when you get in the car or waking up sleeping babies. I love nature. We couldn't have asked for a nicer time.

For New Year's this year we had a wonderful time in Washington D.C. we got to stay with two of our favorite people (Ryan and Barb). Don't ask me why but we don't actually have pictures of their faces. Barb however is in the lovely green jacket with the ever sheik folded over pony tail and Ryan (my brother) is next to her in the blue sweatshirt. As you can probably see we also got to be with my mom and dad and also my brother brandon and his family who live in Virginia. It was wonderful

Uncle Ryan bought Mary a ticket for the Carousel (i'd like you to note that i had tried to take her on a carousel back in june i bought the tickets but she refused to go on), but with daddy by her side and a few extra months under her belt she had no problem this time. thanks uncle ryan!

We all did okay with the time change though if you look closely at Evyn, we not so sure how much of D.C. she actually saw.

Christmas Morning

Give it up for kids who don't wake up at the crack of dawn. Mary slept until about 7:30 and then we waited up in our room for evyn to wake up. The only problem with the whole scenario was that i had been up since 6am just waiting, and you can only read scriptures for so long.

By far evyn's favorite Christmas present, the vibrating toothbrush. She'll put it in her mouth for 20 minutes or however long we let her keep it there..silly goose!!
We had a great time just being together as a family and then were able to have some fun friends over for dinner. In light of the recent economic downturns we decided to have a more economic turkey, or namely cornish game hens. I went and picked fresh rosemary from across the street so it all worked out great.
John gave me the best gift ever-- life insurance!!! Yeah.

Thanksgiving 2008

We had a wonderful thanksgiving this year. Honestly, any day John gets off work and we're all together is wonderful. In the morning the weather had been so crazy we decided to go up to a place called Red Rock and check out the scenery. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Nature does it for me every time.

I know the clouds might seem normal for some, but this is las vegas and this isn't normal. We absolutely have loved the crazy weather this winter.
