Halloween Night

Okay so this is a flashback to october, but john wanted me to post it. Mary still a bunny, evyn still a duck, but i had a lightning bolt coming out of my back and was a person struck by lightning. I find Halloween better when no on e actaully recognizes you....oooh scary (mary's comments). I also have been thinking that the cutesy stuff is a bit pansy, so a little bit freaky it was, and my primary kids absolutley loved it.

the little blue dress

When I turned 1 my mom made me a wonderful light blue dress (still my favorite color today). When Mary turned 1 I had her where it to church, but she was alot taller than I was and we didn't want to frighten people into thinking there was a fast approaching flood, so that was that. Now Evyn is 1 (okay almost 14 months) but she is a little bean so I had her wear the dress this week to church, she looked lovely. I don't have a picture of all of us, but i thought i'd post what i have.

Beautiful Park

Despite my horrid lack of picture taking the girls and i go to amazing places almost every week. But I was at my friend Ali's house and since she takes pictures everywhere I was able to poach a few from this past spring. This is a place known as the Peacock Park (you'll see why) we got to run in the grass play by the pond and best of all, watch the Peacocks strut their stuff ( it was mating season). That is one of my loves of Las Vegas, there are so many amazing things to see and you can go almost all year long.

Ode to Rachel

So this post is completely dedicated to my roomate Rachel. She just turned 31 and as I was reading her ever-amazing blog it made me very nostalgic and I just wanted her to know how many wonderful ways she has impacted my life, through the way I think, the friends she brought in, the ever creepy same bra siz and most of all just herself. She was always so fun, so loving and compassionate I could never have asked for a better roomate who loved me despite the mess. Happy Birthday Rachel (I had wanted to include pictures of others we knew, but as you can see I have quite a few pictures so I thought I'd start with these:

Quack, Quack

I am going to try to download more of these, but our little duck wants to hold the camera more than look at it. Evyn always amazes me, she just started walking about a month ago and at our church Halloween party she would run to John over and over again. It just shows that if you really practice something and want it it doesn't even take that long to get a new skill. I love you miss Evyn.

Bronzer should be worn in every season of the year!

Mary started to outgrow nap time, but since pictures like this were the result we have recenlty introduced a stricter staying in your room policy.

Our Little Walker

This was taken at the immigration office in Las Vegas where John passed his actual citizenship test, but because he wrote down 5 years of information instead of 3 has to resubmit his request. Where are the checks and balances people

Happy Birthday Evyn!!!

I can't believe our little baby goose is actually a year old. I know that's still young in the grand scheme of things, but there is so much you already know by one. Evyn has always been a calm baby, by calm i do not mean likes to sit still, she is on the go almost all the time, but she is happy and just goes with whatever we need to do. The following is a list of my favorite things, memories and whatever comes to mind:

I Love it When:

*You come and snuggle or lounge on the couch ( at least 30 times a day)

*You crane you little head all the way around mine so you can see what i'm doing

*You lay on me to protect me from the evil chiropractor

*You play hide and seek with Mary (though you are always the seeker)

*You yell at random people on the street

*You amaze people at the park by climbing the slides and ladders (all by yourself)

*You smile with your 4 little toothies

* You wave bye-bye and play pat a cake

*You lay down in your bed and chatter as you go to sleep

I was Sad When:

*Your fingers got burned

*You wouldn't eat when i had to visit daddy at the hospital

*You had RSV and they had to draw blood:(

You amaze me Evyn I love you and i'm so glad your labor was so much easier then i'd had previously, it means you might actually have a chance of being a big sister one day. Thank you for the peace and constant love and curiosity.

i swear she was going for it when i started filming, but i think she's a little camera shy. it was so cute evyn and her friend quentin would reach out and touch sticky hands.

Worth Watching

Lounging Around

Evyn cracks me up, everyday she crawls into a little stripy chair we have sprawls her arms and legs over the sides and relaxes. While relaxing she'll curl the little bit of hair she has around her fingers, she is one cooky nut.

She has 4 teeth

Yeah for evyn she has teeth on the top and bottom. If you look closely you can see the two on bottom, but also the two little nublets on the top. Plus, i love this picture because i see this gorgeous smile almost all day. What a wonderful happy baby!!

Moods

Some friends and i do a joyschool for our 3 year olds. This last month was about feelings and emotions. so mary and i did a top model shoot and i told her how she should be feeling. see if you can guess the mood

The best part about 3 year olds is you can see all of those emotions in a period of 47 seconds, now that is talent!!
